Gro Pacific NZ Ltd was formed in 2002 as the domestic arm of the Pacific Wide Group to distribute our range of products within New Zealand. Situated in Christchurch at the Pacific Wide Group Head Office, Gro Pacific works closely with all the companies to provide premium products for New Zealand horticultural growers.

The range of products reflect the strong environmental focus of the Group and by owning our production sites, invites opportunities for us to create a product to suit grower's individual requirements.

Initially we introduced our premium range of coir products into New Zealand from our Sri Lankan factory, Tropicoir in 2002. Our focus was to offer a new growing media to hothouse vegetable growers that had already been developed and trialled in Europe, specifically Holland. Tropicoir in conjunction with the Van der Knapp Groep in Holland have spent many years perfecting the production of coir growing systems and these products are exported around the world. Since the introduction of coir commercially to New Zealand there have been many other companies attempt to sell coir in New Zealand. Gro Pacific continues to work with growers for the long term providing superior technical expertise and products.

Since introducing coir to vegetable growers, Gro Pacific has expanded our range of products to flower growers. While the initial interest was with coir, flower growers now have access to the Groups’ wider export product range through Gro Pacific. Whatever the crop grown, Gro Pacific has high quality products to suit all growers’ needs. With a solid base of export grade growing media - Sphagnum moss, Orchiata and coir, we can produce specialised blends. Our Orchiata and Sphagnum moss have been the choice of top orchid growers in Asia for the last 20 years and now we offer these products to New Zealand growers.

During 2003 Gro Pacific introduced a unique product to New Zealand flower growers, florists and floral consumers. Hawaiian Floral Mist manufactured under exclusive licence by Pacific Wide and distributed by Gro Pacific within New Zealand is a totally organic product that increases the life of cut flowers.

Gro Pacific is recognised as a company who supplies premium horticultural products backed up with technical advice and customer support. We are an evolving company always expanding with new products to fit with our environmentally friendly philosophy for both retail and commercial. We have products for Florists, Flower Exporters, and Growers of all crops. We encourage a strong customer relationship, not only to ensure we can work together to create better growing systems, but because this is the way we like to work.
